Job description

Instructor Pool – 2025/2026 and Fall Term 2026: Psychology

Applications will be considered throughout the 2025–2026 academic year and for the Fall Term 2026 as opportunities become available.

Job Summary

The Psychology Program at OSU-Cascades invites applications for one or more fixed‑term, non‑tenure‑track Instructor positions to teach undergraduate Psychology courses on a term‑by‑term basis. The position is located on the Bend campus. Appointees may be reviewed for renewal or transition to a permanent instructional position at the discretion of the Dean of Academic Affairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate Psychology courses term‑by‑term.
  • Administer course assessments and continuously improve teaching effectiveness.
  • Advise students, hold office hours, and maintain records.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Curriculum Vitae, cover letter, teaching philosophy statement, and three professional references.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, teach, and assess courses that support inclusive learning principles and promote equitable teaching practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD or terminal degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Teaching experience at the college or university level.
  • Strong commitment to undergraduate education, equity, and student service.
