Job description

ECS is seeking a highly experienced candidate to support their ongoing CH-47F New Equipment Training (NET) Product development program. The candidate must be able to identify and support any new training and/or training system requirements throughout the weapon system life cycle. The successful candidate must be able to apply and perform the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) methodology to the training requirements, aircraft configurations, and critical tasks. Must be able to identify and analyze skills, knowledge, and abilities required to safely operate and maintain the U.S. Army CH-47F Cargo Helicopter standards. The candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the development of immersive instructional courseware for aircraft systems. This position reports to the designated ECS Program Manager. This position is located in the greater Huntsville AL area in order to support customer engagements at Redstone Arsenal, but otherwise daily work schedule will be hybrid/remote.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Experience applying instructional design for new training systems using analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) processes
  • Assists in preparation of product and program documentation
  • Assists in the writing of technical reports, manuals, proposals, and procedures
  • Author and maintain storyboards which convert requirements and technical information into a format for the development team to author or update lesson content to fulfill Terminal Learning Objectives and Enabling Learning Objectives
  • Contributes to technical estimation efforts continuously through the software product lifecycle
  • Maintains currency on emerging requirements, changes, and revisions impacting the aircraft and training
  • Shows commitment to company values, processes, and procedures
Required Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of the MOS 15U and/or MOS 154F qualification course(s)
  • Experience as a CH-47F Cargo Helicopter Rated and/or Non-Rated Crew Member
  • Experience as an instructor in CH-47F academic and/or Crew Member flight training
  • Knowledge of T2COM (formerly TRADOC) training requirements, best practices, and processes
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Common Access Card or DOD Security Clearance (if required)
  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Successful completion of a CH-47F advanced academic course(s) (e.g., Instructor Pilot Course, Maintenance Test Pilot Course, Flight Engineer Instructor Course, Platform Instructor)
  • Experience teaching CH-47F academic course(s) (e.g., Pilot, NRCM, 15N, 15U, 15F, 15N)
  • Experience in any of these roles
    1. CH-47F Instructor Pilot and/or Maintenance Test Pilot
    2. CH-47F Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor (Maintenance Officer/Senior NCO)
    3. CH-47F New Equipment Training (NET) instructor
  • Experience in Advanced Aircraft Maintenance, Avionics Maintenance, or Aircraft Electrician
  • System support for an Army Product Management Office
  • Experience applying instructional design for new training systems using analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) processes
  • Experience developing interactive multimedia computer-based training using authoring software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite of software (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite authoring software (e.g., Acrobat, Photoshop)
