Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Countertop Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing high-quality stone countertops in residential and commercial settings, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently on various job sites. Prior experience in fabrication, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools is highly valued.

Duties

  • Measure and prepare surfaces for countertop installation based on detailed schematics and blueprints
  • Fabricate stone countertops using specialized tools and techniques, ensuring accurate cuts and finishes
  • Install countertops securely, aligning with existing cabinetry, plumbing, electrical fixtures, and other structural elements
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to cut, shape, and position materials
  • Perform caulking, sealing, and finishing touches to ensure a polished appearance
  • Coordinate with project managers, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of installations
  • Conduct site inspections to verify measurements and installation quality before project completion
  • Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling materials and disposing of waste according to safety standards

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in countertop installation or related construction fields such as carpentry, masonry, or remodeling
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings
  • Familiarity with fabrication techniques including concrete forming, plastering, glazing, and tile laying
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., saws, drills), power tools (e.g., grinders, sanders), and heavy equipment operation when necessary
  • Experience with plumbing or electrical work is a plus but not required
  • Ability to read technical schematics and construction plans accurately
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials safely and work at heights or confined spaces as needed
