Job description

A well-established employee-owned provider of cabinetry, countertops, and interior solutions, is seeking an Estimator to join thee team in the Des Moines, IA area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional with a strong cabinetry background who enjoys working directly with homeowners, builders, and remodelers. The role combines consultative sales, estimating, project coordination, and client relationship management within a growing employee-owned organization.

What You'll Do as the Professional Sales Representative / Estimator:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, builders, remodelers, and referral partners
  • Guide clients through cabinetry, countertop, and interior product selections
  • Prepare estimates, quotes, and proposals for residential projects
  • Review project plans and specifications to ensure accurate pricing and product recommendations
  • Follow up on open proposals and opportunities to drive sales growth
  • Collaborate with design and operations teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout the territory
  • Maintain a high level of customer service throughout the sales and project lifecycle
  • Stay informed on product offerings, industry trends, and competitive market activity
  • Manage multiple projects and client interactions simultaneously

Must-Haves as the Estimator:

  • Proven sales experience within cabinetry, countertops, closets, kitchen and bath products, or similar home interior products
  • Strong ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Experience working directly with residential customers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to manage estimates, proposals, and project details accurately
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed

Nice-to-Haves as the Estimator:

  • Experience reading and scaling residential blueprints
  • Background in home design, kitchen and bath design, or interior space planning
  • Existing relationships with builders, remodelers, contractors, or residential clients in the Des Moines market
  • Established book of business that can generate opportunities quickly
  • Experience with 2020 Design, Cyncly, Prokitchen, or similar design software is a plus!

The Company Offers:

  • Base salary ranging from $65,000 to $100,000 depending on experience
  • Expected first year OTE of $125,000 to $160,000
