Job description

Carpentry Team Member
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Carpentry Team Member for a company based in Tuscaloosa, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow with a local carpentry company who’s portfolio includes major projects around the Southeast.

Pay Rate
$16.75 to $20.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 6 30 am to 3 30 pm.

Carpentry Team Member Duties and Responsibilities
• Operate machinery such as Edge bander and CNC to fabricate countertops, desktops, and other sold surfaces.
• Seam surfaces together as well as polish the material to varying degrees.
• Read shop drawings to build countertops, wooden panels, profile walls, cabinets, etc.
• Cut, shape, and finish different materials for countertops and cabinetry.
• Closely follow safety regulations and guidelines at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and securing loads properly.

Carpentry Team Member Qualifications and Requirements
• At least one year of Solid Surface Fabrication experience is preferred, but related experience in woodworking, millwork, or countertop installation can also be beneficial.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and tape measure is required.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Ability to safely operate wood working tools.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
