Responsibilities

As a socio-cultural analyst, you're passionate about understanding the language, culture, and geopolitical environment that shape complex intelligence challenges. We need an experienced language specialist like you to help our clients collect, analyze, and exploit information from foreign-language sources. On our counterintelligence (CI) and human intelligence (HUMINT) team, you'll apply native-level speaking, reading, and writing skills to assess geopolitical, economic, and social issues, while providing cultural context and insight into current vernacular, colloquialisms, and terminology.

In this role, you'll use your expertise in foreign-language analysis, translation, cultural understanding, and intelligence research to evaluate information from a variety of sources and support the development of effective collection and exploitation methodologies. You'll apply your understanding of the target language and its cultural context to identify nuances and insights that may otherwise be missed, while leveraging your knowledge of network defense principles and network infrastructure, including hardware and software supporting worldwide connectivity, as required.

Use your language and socio-cultural expertise to develop insights and concepts that advance counterintelligence and HUMINT operations, foreign-language intelligence collection and exploitation, and the effective dissemination of information to support Command-wide programs and initiatives. You'll also produce Operation Instructions (OIs) and other documentation as assigned by the Government, helping translate complex intelligence and operational requirements into clear, actionable products.

Qualifications

You Have: 

  • Experience conducting research and supporting HUMINT intelligence collection and analysis
  • Knowledge of geopolitical, economic, and social issues relevant to the target-language environment
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the target language at Proficiency Level 4 and translate transcripts, video, and audio between the target language and English while preserving the original meaning and intent
  • Ability to understand and interpret current vernacular, colloquialisms, and terminology at a native-level proficiency
  • Ability to develop and advise on methods for target-language research and information exploitation and determine effective methods for presenting and disseminating information
  • Ability to produce Operation Instructions (OIs) for Command-wide programs and initiatives as assigned by the Government
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience or a High school diploma nd 17+ years of related experience

  • Experience applying foreign-language expertise and cultural understanding in counterintelligence (CI) and HUMINT operations
  • Knowledge of network defense principles and worldwide network infrastructure, including associated hardware and software
  • Ability to apply cultural understanding to identify and interpret nuances in foreign-language information and intelligence sources
  • Ability to develop innovative approaches for foreign-language information research, exploitation, presentation, and dissemination

Clearance:  

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required. 

Compensation at EverWatch is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55.28 to $62.50 per hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical compensation range for this position and is just one component of EverWatch's total compensation package for employees.
