As a Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to determine client needs and collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing a range of evidence-based therapy modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices tailored to client preferences.
• Providing group therapy sessions that foster peer support and community building, focusing on specific issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma recovery.
• Collaborating closely with other mental health professionals, case managers, and external agencies to arrange integrated services, ensuring holistic care for clients.
• Responding decisively to crises and emergency situations by providing immediate support and intervention strategies for clients in acute distress.

Your work will primarily involve assisting individuals from various backgrounds, including children, adolescents, and adults, who face mental health challenges. Our clientele may present with conditions such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and trauma-related disorders. The role requires a culturally competent approach and a commitment to treating clients with dignity and respect, fostering an environment conducive to healing and personal growth.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A valid and current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master's degree or higher in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport effectively and engage clients in meaningful therapeutic relationships.
• Proficiency in documentation and organizational skills to maintain accurate client records and adhere to compliance standards.

While exceptional candidates will meet the above qualifications, experience in community health settings, familiarity with evidence-based treatments, and proficiency in both teletherapy and in-person modalities are strongly preferred. You should also possess the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to the needs of diverse populations.
