Job Summary
We are seeking a Cost Estimator to join our team! 
We are currently hiring an experienced cost estimator with a strong machining background. This direct-hire position plays a critical role in analyzing customer requirements, interpreting technical documents, and preparing accurate, date-driven cost estimates for precision machined components. 
The ideal candidate brings expertise in machining processes, cost analysis, and project coordination. You will collaborate closely with engineering, quality and production teams to ensure estimates reflect real-world manufacturing methods and shop capabilities. 
Responsibilities 
  • Review & analyze blueprints, CAD models, and customer specifications to develop accurate cost estimates. 
  • Work with engineering and production to determine optimal machining strategies, inspection requirements and CMM programming needs. 
  • Prepare detailed estimates for new RFQs and change orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. 
  • Enter and maintain estimate date, part numbers, revision levels and related documentation in the estimating system. 
  • Ensuring all labor, materials, subcontracted services, and inspection requirements are captured in the estimates. 
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, GD&T, CMM inspection and manufacturing workflows. 
  • Understanding of part modeling, CAD, and print interpretation. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
