Job description

Yellowstone Landscape is dedicated to excellence in commercial landscaping. As the largest privately-owned commercial landscaping company in the nation, we offer exciting career opportunities for Landscape Professionals across the United States. To learn more, please visit our website: www.yellowstonelandscape.com.

Summer 2027 Internship Program

We are now recruiting college students and recent graduates for Summer 2027 internship opportunities!

Our paid, full-time Internship Program is designed to give students hands-on exposure to the many sides of the landscape industry. Internship opportunities are available at many Yellowstone Landscape branch locations across the country. We operate in 22+ states and have 80+ locations nationwide.

Depending on your location and interests, your experience may include landscape management, landscape construction, enhancement projects, design opportunities, irrigation, tree care, plant health, pest control, crew management, sales, and more.

What You'll Experience:

No two days in landscaping are exactly the same, and your internship won't be either. You'll work with your Branch Manager and be paired with an Account Manager who will serve as your Mentor throughout the summer. You will experience a rotational schedule that balances your interests with the needs of the branch. Your Mentor will provide ongoing guidance, answer questions, share their best practices, and help you develop your own leadership and management style.

Throughout the summer, you'll have opportunities to:

  • Work alongside our crews and experience landscape operations firsthand.
  • Learn the day-to-day responsibilities of our management, administrative, and sales teams.
  • Gain exposure to safety practices, crew management, scheduling, quality control, and customer service.
  • Participate in branch meetings and learn how we manage the financial and operational side of the business.
  • Develop your leadership, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Build relationships with Yellowstone Landscape professionals and other interns across the company.
  • Participate in professional development, networking opportunities, and company-led learning sessions.

Who We're Looking For:

We're looking for students and recent graduates who are curious, hardworking, and ready to learn. Ideal candidates may be pursuing degrees in:

  • Plant Science
  • Horticulture
  • Agriculture
  • Landscape Management
  • Urban Forestry
  • Construction
  • Landscape Design or Architecture
  • Business
  • Related fields

You should also bring:

  • An interest in learning multiple aspects of the landscape industry.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to learn, ask questions, and get hands-on.
  • A clean driving record.

Compensation:

This is a full-time, paid internship with an hourly wage of $18.50 per hour. Eligible interns who are working away from their permanent home or school location may also receive a monthly housing stipend to help offset the cost of relocating for the summer.

Your path to management starts here! Learn today. Lead tomorrow.

Whether you already know you want a career in landscaping or you're still figuring out where your degree can take you, Yellowstone's Internship Program is an opportunity to gain real experience, build your network, and see what a future in the green industry can look like.
