The assignment may be day, evening, weekend, online or off campus and is subject to change as needed. Part-time faculty positions are as needed positions and do not accrue rights to tenure. Part-time faculty positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students in achieving their educational goals.

Duties The College seeks candidates who exhibit an understanding and commitment to the community college mission, and who have a passion for commitment to student success. Ability to adapt teaching pedagogy to the knowledge of each individual and class. Ability to self-reflect and respond to an evidence-based assessment of student learning. Demonstrated experience and commitment to integrating new technologies into the learning process, including but not limited to interactive technologies for on campus and on-line courses.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in the discipline; OR,2.

An Associate degree and six years of experience in the discipline; OR,3. Hold a valid credential to teach in the discipline; OR,4. Meet equivalent qualifications established by the district AND appropriate certificate to practice or licensure or its equivalent, if available; OR the equivalentAND 5.

Evidence of a sensitivity, understanding, and ability to manage the classroom environment AND effectively provide instruction to community college students of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds. Desirable QualificationsPart-time faculty needed to teach Security courses such as: Security Fundamentals, Network Fundamentals, and Forensics. Recent community college or lower division teaching experience.
