Summary

Golden West Packaging Group (GWPG) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented bilingual (Mandarin/English) Project Manager to join our Impact Department. This position plays a critical role in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing packaging development projects from concept to completion. The Project Manager will ensure that all projects are executed efficiently, meet customer requirements, and align with GWPG’s standards for quality, safety, and service. This position requires bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English and offers a hybrid work schedule based in City of Industry, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop packaging concepts supporting Structural Designers and Sales personnel.
  • Lead packaging development projects, managing timelines, documentation, communication, and quality to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Support package development by managing size and cost reduction efforts, releasing specification packages, and troubleshooting production issues.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain a positive, professional working environment.
  • Oversee daily activities related to shipping and scheduling, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety goals are achieved.
  • Review and manage inventory levels for assigned accounts.
  • Act as the primary liaison for overseas manufacturing coordination and resource management.

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is an Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 annual salary. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, sales support, or production planning.
  • 2–3 years of print packaging experience.
  • 1–2 years in cosmetics, health, or beauty industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage overseas manufacturing resources.
  • Willingness and authorization to travel to Asia as needed.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English (read, write, and speak).
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to understand material and design specifications, manufacturing processes, and logistics flow.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-cultural collaboration and teamwork.
