Description
General Compounder is responsible for preparing batches of cosmetics by following formulation recipes and manufacturing procedures to combine and process ingredients using manufacturing equipment. General Compounders are expected to work independently and as part of a team in a manner consistent with the manufacturing department's goals and objectives, while adhering to workplace GMP and safety policies and procedures.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Understand and follow safety guidelines and procedures, including proper PPE use.
    • Understand and follow manufacturing procedures to make batches.
    • Complete all required paperwork and documentation.
    • Operate complex processing equipment (mixing kettles, pumps, homogenizers, blenders, filters, etc.).
    • Accurately gather and weigh raw materials to be utilized in preparing batches, and maintain accurate inventory through SAP transactions.
    • Perform cleaning and sanitization of primary and auxiliary equipment and work area.
    • Produce batches meeting Right First Time Quality specifications and submit samples to quality control.
    • Complete batches on schedule, in line with departmental KPI goals, including scrap and batch cycle time.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Some experience in a controlled manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Must follow GMP and GDP requirements.
  • Must follow instructions and pay attention to details.
  • Must have some mechanical aptitude and comfortable operating powered/hydraulic industrial equipment.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must have a good overall understanding of measurement units and basic math.
  • Must have good communication skills and ability to read/write in English.
  • Must have computer proficiency.

Pay Range:
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $21.00 to $26.00. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
