Job description

FAMILY OWNED Corrugated Packaging Manufacturer

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in the corrugated box/packaging industry and understand the day-to-day demands of working with customers, sales, estimating, production, and shipping.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced corrugated professional who knows the industry and can take ownership of customer accounts from order entry through production and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Enter and process customer purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Review orders for pricing, specifications, quantities, delivery requirements, and special instructions.
  • Communicate with customers regarding orders, pricing, lead times, production schedules, and deliveries.
  • Monitor orders throughout the production process and proactively communicate any delays or changes.
  • Work closely with Sales, Estimating, Design, Production, Scheduling, and Shipping to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Handle customer questions, concerns, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, item specifications, pricing, and order history.
  • Assist with quotes and pricing when needed.
  • Monitor customer inventory and assist with forecasting and replenishment requirements.
  • Review customer specifications and drawings to ensure orders are entered correctly.
  • Coordinate changes to orders and communicate changes to the appropriate departments.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
  • Assist the sales team with customer follow-up and account support.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the customer service and sales departments.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of customer service experience in the corrugated box or packaging industry required.
  • Experience with Amtech software is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of corrugated boxes, board grades, flute combinations, dimensions, printing, die cutting, and general box manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working directly with customers and managing multiple customer accounts.
  • Strong order-entry and data-entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand customer specifications and product requirements.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Sales, Estimating, Design, Production, and Shipping.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Professional, dependable, organized, and customer-focused.
