What this job involves:

Join JLL's facilities management team as a Maintenance Mechanic where you'll play a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient building operations for our client . This hands-on position combines preventive maintenance with responsive repair work across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You'll work both independently and alongside Mobile Engineers to maintain facility standards that directly support our client's daily operations. This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills across multiple building systems while contributing to JLL's reputation for excellence in property management and client satisfaction.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair work orders on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
  • Conduct facility inspections and report on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations
  • Complete general interior maintenance including patching, painting, furniture repair, and fixture installation
  • Replace lighting, ballasts, and assist with building equipment maintenance as directed
  • Move office furniture, machinery, and equipment as requested by operations team
  • Update work order status in real-time using CMMS systems like Corrigo
  • Complete hazard assessments and maintain compliance with safety procedures and local codes
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state driver's license with reliable transportation
  • 1-3 years of experience in general building repair and maintenance
  • Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge and experience
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work from heights up to 30 feet
  • Third-party certification as required by jurisdiction
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with CMMS systems (Corrigo or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with commercial building operations and maintenance protocols
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and hazardous materials handling
  • Experience working in client-occupied facilities
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and components
