Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in leading our nursing department and ensuring the highest standards of resident care.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about developing staff, maintaining regulatory excellence, and delivering outstanding clinical outcomes.

As the ADON, you will play a key leadership role in planning, organizing, and directing nursing operations while helping foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care.

What You'll Do
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations
  • Support, mentor, and supervise nursing staff across all shifts
  • Promote a positive team culture through leadership and example
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to meet resident needs
  • Assist with surveys, audits, state reporting, and plans of correction
  • Help implement departmental goals, policies, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of clinical care and resident satisfaction
  • Participate in staff development, education, and performance management
QualificationsRequired
  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
  • Minimum 2 years of nurse management experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of long-term care regulations, compliance requirements, and survey processes
  • Experience with state reporting and plans of correction
  • Ability to lead, coach, and inspire nursing teams
Preferred
  • Proven success in improving quality measures and clinical outcomes
  • Experience working closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
