Job description

Strategic Analyst Team: Strategy / Corporate Development Reports to: Chief Strategy Officer Location: Remote Type: Full-time

About the role

Perform[cb] is a performance marketing network operating across mobile app, lead gen, and emerging channels, backed by Beringer Capital. The Chief Strategy Officer's work spans M&A, product and engine strategy, agency and partner analytics, and executive decision support — and moves fast across all of them at once.

We're hiring a Strategic Analyst to be the connective tissue underneath that work. You'll research acquisition targets, pressure-test data from partners and agencies, prepare materials for executive and investor meetings, and turn scattered inputs into clear, decision-ready analysis. This is a high-exposure generalist seat: you'll sit close to the CSO and touch nearly every strategic initiative in the company. It's built for someone with a few years of analytical rigor already under their belt who is unusually organized, can operate with minimal oversight, and wants to learn the business from the top down.

What you'll do

Corporate development & M&A support

  • Screen and profile potential acquisition targets; build one-pagers and comparison summaries from teasers, CIMs, and public data
  • Maintain the deal pipeline tracker and keep notes, next steps, and status current across active opportunities
  • Prepare materials and background research for expert calls, sourcing-firm intros, and investor/advisor syncs
  • Draft and organize follow-ups after M&A meetings so nothing falls through

Data & performance analysis

  • Validate and interpret data from agency partners (e.g., weekly performance materials) — reconcile what's being claimed against the underlying numbers and flag what doesn't add up
  • Support partner and marketer performance analysis: pull and organize AppsFlyer / CAP reporting, help investigate reconciliation and import discrepancies, and summarize findings
  • Assist on product/engine strategy initiatives (e.g., the Predictive Outcome Engine roadmap) with research, framing, and analysis
  • Build simple, repeatable views and trackers so recurring questions don't require a fresh scramble each time

Strategy & executive support

  • Prepare agendas, briefs, and pre-reads for recurring meetings (leadership, product, agency, and partner syncs)
  • Synthesize meeting notes into decisions, owners, and action items, and track them to completion
  • Produce clear slides, memos, and summaries that translate messy inputs into a point of view
  • Run ad hoc research on competitors, market trends, and strategic questions as they come up

What we're looking for

  • 3-5 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, analytics, or a similarly analytical role
  • Genuinely strong with data — comfortable in spreadsheets, able to spot when a number is wrong or a claim isn't supported, and willing to dig until it reconciles
  • Clear writer and communicator who can distill complexity into a tight summary
  • Highly organized and reliable with follow-through; can juggle many open threads without dropping them
  • Intellectually curious and comfortable with ambiguity — asks good questions rather than waiting for perfect instructions
  • Discreet and trustworthy with confidential M&A, financial, and partner information

Nice to have

  • Mobile measurement expertise (AppsFlyer or similar) a plus
  • Exposure to performance/affiliate marketing, ad tech, or M&A processes
  • Familiarity with BI/analytics tools or SQL

Why this role

You'll work directly with the CSO on the highest-leverage problems in the company — from acquisitions to the product roadmap — and get a rare, cross-functional view of how strategy actually gets made and executed. It's a high-visibility seat for someone looking to grow into corporate development, strategy, or analytics leadership.
