How much do corporate restructuring turnaround jobs pay per year?

As of Jun 22, 2026, the average yearly pay for corporate restructuring turnaround in the United States is $77,037.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $49,500.00 and $78,500.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are recession-proof jobs that pay well?

Corporate restructuring and turnaround professionals often work in industries resilient during economic downturns, such as healthcare, utilities, and government sectors. These roles typically require strong analytical skills, financial expertise, and sometimes certifications like CPA or CFA, and they tend to offer stable, well-paying positions even during recessions.

What is the 3 month rule for jobs?

The 3 month rule in corporate restructuring or turnaround jobs often refers to the expectation that significant progress or results should be evident within the first three months of a project or role. This period is used to assess initial performance, plan adjustments, and demonstrate early impact, especially when implementing strategic changes or operational improvements. It is common for professionals in these roles to set short-term goals aligned with this timeframe to ensure momentum and accountability.

What is the difference between Corporate Restructuring Turnaround vs Corporate Finance Analyst?

AspectCorporate Restructuring TurnaroundCorporate Finance Analyst

Work EnvironmentConsulting firms, distressed companies, turnaround projectsInvestment banks, corporate finance departments, advisory firms
Industry UsagePrimarily in restructuring, turnaround, and distressed asset managementFinancial analysis, valuation, mergers & acquisitions

While both roles require strong financial skills and certifications like CFA or CPA, Corporate Restructuring Turnaround focuses on managing distressed companies and implementing turnaround strategies. Corporate Finance Analysts primarily analyze financial data, support mergers and acquisitions, and valuation projects. The roles differ mainly in their focus: restructuring involves operational and strategic overhaul, whereas finance analysis emphasizes valuation and financial modeling.

Do restructuring consultants make a lot of money?

Restructuring consultants, especially those working in corporate turnaround roles, can earn high salaries that vary based on experience, location, and firm size. Senior consultants and partners often earn six-figure incomes, with bonuses and profit sharing contributing to total compensation. However, entry-level positions typically offer lower starting salaries.

How much do turnaround specialists usually earn?

Turnaround specialists typically earn between $70,000 and $150,000 annually, depending on experience, industry, and location. Senior professionals or those in high-demand markets can earn higher salaries, often supplemented with bonuses and performance incentives.
