Overview:
This is an outstanding opportunity to work within the corporate procurement team driving excellence for Omni Hotels & Resorts - a luxury hotel brand known for its unique properties, award-winning service and high level of associate engagement. The Corporate Buyer/Expeditor will play a vital role in Project Purchasing, Expediting, and Project Accounts Payable. In addition, this role will support Category Managers in various procurement projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Create Purchase Orders for new build and renovation projects.
  • Update and maintain all project product tracking files.
  • Work with Construction and Development Project Managers to track products from Order to delivery (expedite).
  • Resolve logistical issues in support of Procurement Project leads.
  • Secure and track as need requested samples from suppliers.
  • Ensure that invoices for received products are appropriately and expeditiously processed for payment.
  • Assist as requested on Category Management projects.
  • Work with Birchstreet team to set up new vendors as required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent hospitality experience
  • Hospitality and purchasing experience
  • Excellent analysis and independent thinking skills
  • Must be service and detail oriented; possessing a friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Team-work oriented attitude and flexibility with shifting priorities
