Job description

Our corporate banking client is looking for an entry level, recent college graduate. They are looking for someone who can support senior originators across pitch preparation, debt advisory analysis, transaction execution and syndication, while communicating effectively with clients and working collaboratively across product groups.


Position Summary:

Individual is part of the team that is responsible for originating, structuring and executing new issue syndicated loans. This individual will be responsible for supporting senior originators in preparing all marketing materials and assisting in the development of financing recommendations for both existing and prospective corporate clients in the US. This will include the production of Debt Advisory analysis (debt capacity, liquidity analysis, ratings advisory etc.). In the event of receipt of a mandate to lead a new issue transaction, the individual assists in all aspects of the syndication process including the preparation of all syndication material and the coordination of subsequent sell-down.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ยท Ensures that he/she complies with all legal and regulatory requirements

ยท Service internal and external clients on a daily basis with respect to all questions and needs

ยท Involved primarily in creation of pitch materials, research, structuring, executing and syndicating new issue transactions

ยท Will function as a No. 2 or 3 person on transactions, requiring the exercise of sound business judgment and experience

ยท Provides support to more senior level colleagues by preparing the majority of pitch material such as market updates, comparable pricing analysis and Commerzbank credentials

ยท Develop product and market knowledge, deal experience and client exposure

ยท Must stay abreast of syndicated loan market developments and be able to accurately articulate current market conditions to both internal and external clients

ยท Create and distribute US loan market update on weekly basis

ยท Be responsible for certain internal processes and documents such as syndication assessments and transfer notices


Experience /Qualifications/Education:

ยท Undergraduate degree in relevant field

ยท Strong technical skills and expert-level understanding of Microsoft Office / Bloomberg and familiar with market data / news sources

ยท General understanding of financial instruments and the financial markets

ยท Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

ยท Comfortable and effective working in a team and interacting with various product groups simultaneously
