Job description

Job Title: Aftermarket Assembler

Job Description

This role focuses on supporting a small-scale manufacturing operation by mounting tires, installing and removing parts from vehicles, and preparing components for powder coating. You will work with both power and hand tools, handle heavy products, and contribute to inventory, shipping, and receiving activities. The position is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Mount tires accurately and safely, following established procedures and quality standards.
  • Install and remove parts from vehicles, supporting mechanical and assembly tasks as needed.
  • Prepare parts for powder coating by sanding, cleaning, and ensuring surfaces meet finishing requirements.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble parts and perform basic mechanical tasks.
  • Handle and lift products weighing in excess of 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Support general production activities, including organizing work areas and assisting with various manufacturing tasks.
  • Assist with inventory management by tracking parts, materials, and finished products.
  • Participate in shipping and receiving activities, including loading, unloading, and staging products.
  • Follow safety procedures when working around chemicals, machinery, and production equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient work area within the manufacturing and warehouse spaces.

Essential Skills

  • 1–2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Mechanical experience or demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to mount tires and handle related production tasks.
  • Ability to install and remove parts from vehicles using appropriate tools.
  • Comfort using hand tools and power tools for disassembly and basic mechanical work.
  • Capability to lift and move products in excess of 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
  • Detail-oriented approach to preparing parts for powder coating, including sanding and cleaning.
  • Comfort working around chemical smells in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with general production and general labor tasks.
  • Ability to work safely in an environment with moderate to high noise levels.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with powder coating processes or preparation work.
  • Familiarity with inventory management practices in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Exposure to shipping and receiving operations.
  • Experience working with or around CNC machines and related manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a production setting.
  • Reliability and consistency in attendance and performance in a manufacturing role.

Why Work Here?

This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the stability of long-term employment with the flexibility of an initial contract period. You will work in a smaller, more personal manufacturing setting rather than a large warehouse, allowing you to build strong working relationships and see the direct impact of your contributions. The environment supports hands-on learning and skill development with a variety of tasks across production, preparation, and logistics.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a smaller manufacturing facility rather than a large warehouse, creating a more focused and close-knit setting. Manufacturing operations are located toward the front of the building and include areas where customer parts for ATVs are produced, CNC machines are operated, and parts are prepped for finishing. Noise levels range from moderate to high but are not described as unbearable. The warehouse and production areas can be cold in cooler weather and hot in warmer weather, so you should be comfortable working in temperature fluctuations. You will work around chemical smells associated with manufacturing and powder coating processes and regularly use hand tools, power tools, and other production equipment.
