Job description

Dynamatic is a leading provider of engineered variable-speed drive solutions serving industrial customers across a wide range of demanding applications. With more than 90 years of innovation and performance, the company specializes in delivering highly customized systems that improve efficiency, reliability, and control in critical equipment and processes.
We are seeking an Industrial Sales Specialist to support sales growth through a combination of inside technical sales, business development, and account management. In this hybrid role, you'll serve as a trusted resource for customers by identifying the right solutions, preparing technical quotations, supporting key accounts, and developing new business opportunities. You'll also provide inside sales support to our Municipal Market team while helping grow our Industrial Market through strategic customer engagement.
This is a great opportunity if you have experience in technical or industrial sales and enjoy building customer relationships, solving complex application challenges, and working with engineers and manufacturing teams to deliver customized solutions that drive customer success.
Location: Onsite; Sturtevant, WI
Travel: Approximately 20% travel
Hourly Pay Range: $35.00 - $40.00 (DOE)
What You'll Do:
  • Develop working knowledge and competency of our products and their applications.
  • Leverage in-depth product knowledge to timely respond to inquiries from existing customers and proactively probe to find additional adjacent opportunities with a goal of maximizing sales opportunities within any given inquiry.
  • Effectively learn Dynamatic's ERP and CRM tools to execute timely, accurate, and comprehensive quotations, order entry, and other sales-related transactions.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of key vertical markets applicable to value drivers associated with our eddy current products.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships. Document customer feedback and provide solutions.
  • Communicate, describe, and appropriately use Dynamatic Marketing Promotions and Programs.
  • Make frequent outreach initiatives to potential and existing customers to qualify leads and sell products and services.
  • Perform and document general customer contact calls (telephone, email, fax, and letter).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Develop, with input from the President/CEO, the applicable vertical market applications and associated product opportunities to target.
  • Perform and document general customer contact visits (arrange travel, perform visits, and submit expenses).
  • Utilize organizational and product knowledge to create a strategic plan for in-person customer outreach.
  • Using a consultative sales approach, identify best fit applications and customer pain points to propose and capture business.
  • Attend tradeshows, training, and quarterly sales meetings as required.

What We're Looking For:
  • Associate degree, technical degree, or equivalent field-related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful sales and/or customer service experience in a technical or manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand industrial products and applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/ERP systems.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience selling variable speed drives, rotating equipment, motors, or similar industrial products.
  • Experience supporting customers in industrial or manufacturing environments.

This position is initially employed through Cornell Pump Company and is dedicated full-time to Dynamatic.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use computer equipment for extended periods
  • Ability to travel by automobile and air as required
  • Ability to occasionally lift marketing materials, demonstration equipment, or luggage up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to visit manufacturing facilities, customer sites, and industrial environments

Work Environment:
  • Work is performed in office, manufacturing, customer, and industrial environments. Occasional exposure to noise, machinery, varying temperatures, and other industrial conditions may occur during customer visits and site walkthroughs.
