SUMMARY:

  • Company is seeking a Payroll Processor II to support payroll operations on a 6-month hybrid contract assignment in Roseville, CA.
  • This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for a large, complex healthcare organization.
  • The ideal candidate has recent experience processing payroll for organizations with 20,000+ employees, possesses a strong understanding of California payroll laws, including final termination pay requirements, and has hands-on experience utilizing Workday Payroll, Kronos, and processing union payroll.
  • The successful candidate will ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with company policies, union agreements, and California labor laws.


PRIORITY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of end-to-end payroll processing experience
  • Experience processing payroll for 20,000+ employees
  • California payroll experience
  • Experience processing California final termination pays.
  • Kronos experience
  • Union payroll experience

No Longer a Primary Focus

  • While still valuable, experience primarily focused on the following is not sufficient for this role without recent end-to-end payroll processing experience:
  • Payroll tax
  • Garnishments
  • Employee deductions


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of recent end-to-end payroll processing experience
  • Experience processing payroll for large organizations (20,000+ employees)
  • California payroll processing experience
  • Experience processing California final termination pay
  • Workday Payroll experience
  • Kronos experience
  • Union payroll experience
  • Ability to process high-volume payroll accurately while meeting strict deadlines
  • Experience researching and resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Roseville, CA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare payroll experience
  • Experience supporting large enterprise payroll operations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process end-to-end payroll for a large employee population
  • Process California payroll in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Process California final termination payments accurately and within required timelines
  • Utilize Workday Payroll and Kronos to process payroll transactions
  • Process payroll for union employees in accordance with collective bargaining agreements
  • Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data for accuracy
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee pay issues
  • Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation
  • Ensure payroll deadlines are consistently met
  • Support payroll audits and compliance initiatives
  • Collaborate with Payroll leadership and internal business partners to resolve payroll-related issues
