Job Description

Core BTS seeks an IT Support Technician to provide levels 1-2 troubleshooting and support in an education setting. The support technician will work under the direction of Director of Technology.

Primary duties include:

             Assist teachers to enhance learning through improved integration of technology. Assist administrators and teachers in the incorporation of technological hardware and software into the classroom.

             Facilitate effective use of technology in the classroom and school environment. Provide direct support to staff in conjunction with technology department and administration.

             Independently resolve routine and less complex user problems. Coordinate with both technology staff and/or supervisor for resolving more complex issues.

             PC and peripheral support (i.e., computers, Chromebooks, document cameras, interactive whiteboards, printers, etc.) Hardware repair/ replacement, initial setup/ configuration, driver/ software upgrades, operating system and application support, and miscellaneous help desk ticket remediation.

The ideal candidate will have procedural knowledge and hand-on experience performing:

             Initial setup / configuration

             Driver / software upgrades

             Operating System/Application support

             End user knowledge transfer

             System imaging and experience with Active Directory

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have 1-3 years of technical support experience, education, certifications, or a combination, along with a desire to learn and motivation to excel in a customer service-centric environment.

Experience and/or education in computer networking, PC/Mac environments, server support, phone system administration, Cisco hardware, Exchange and virtual environments are highly desired.

Additional Information

The compensation range for this position is $24-$25, depending on experience.
