Journeyman Electrician- Foreman Job description

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead field operations and supervise electrical crews on job sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications and codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians and apprentices on-site
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
  • Manage material orders, inventory, and deliveries
  • Collaborate with project managers, inspectors, and clients
  • Monitor project progress and provide daily reports
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and provide solutions
  • Enforce company policies, safety rules, and quality standards

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical conditions.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as required.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license (as required by state).
  • 5+ years of electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
  • Must be able to pass drug and background check.
  • Ability to multitask while staying organized.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Positive customer service skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Computer knowledge.
