  • Identify, assess, and mitigate hazards associated with field operations, including drilling, core handling, sampling, vehicle operation, and remote work environments.
  • Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions exist and ensure appropriate controls are implemented before work resumes.
  • Participate in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, toolbox talks, and site safety initiatives.
  • Promptly report and document incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with AngloGold Ashanti safety standards, environmental commitments, permitting requirements, and company values.

Exploration & Field Execution
  • Execute exploration programs including drilling support, geological mapping, sampling, and field data collection.

Geological Interpretation & Technical Analysis
  • Compile and interpret geological, geochemical, geophysical, and drilling data to support exploration targeting and project evaluations.
  • Perform preliminary geological interpretations and contribute recommendations for follow-up drilling, additional sampling, or revised exploration strategies.
  • Apply current exploration technologies and industry best practices relevant to epithermal and Carlin-type gold systems.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of exploration targets through data integration and analysis.

  • Experience with geological data analysis, GIS, database management, or coding/programming is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively in remote field environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Geological mapping, logging, sampling, and field data collection.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and chain-of-custody protocols.
  • Understanding of mineral exploration methods and geological interpretation techniques.
