  • Clear articulate communication skills - We collaborate often and look for developers that are able to break problems down analytically and explain the pros/cons of why and alternatives.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a front-office facing role, interacting with Traders and trading systems.
  • Experienced with agile and modern software development/DevOps practices. Ability to describe previous projects they've participated in using iterative development, CI/CD, automated testing and why those disciplines are useful and important.
  • Five to Seven years of hands-on core Java experience.
  • Core Java 8 or higher programming language experience is a must-have. If you have experience with both Java and C# it is a big plus.
  • Solid analytical skills and strong technical or engineering background.
  • Desire and a positive attitude to work in a front-office development and to respond to and address production situations promptly.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented setting.
  • Java: strong in multi-threading programming and messaging middleware (such as publish/subscribe, IMS, MO, Solace, Tibco RV or similar technologies).
  • Experience refactoring existing code and working on performance or design issues.
  • Eagerness to design extensible modules and ensure that code is cleanly written, testable and maintainable by others.
