Job description

Our core competencies include systems engineering, program management, logistics, production support, aircraft maintenance, and aviation/aerospace services. We understand and provide expert consultation on weapons systems acquisition programs, maintenance/modernization programs, and sustainment programs. We know defense and we know aircraft systems.
The Manufacturing Assembler's responsibilities include assembling parts or components to produce equipment, machinery or appliances, ensuring specifications and quality standards are met.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in manufacturing, with attention to detail and a dedication to quality control.
They should be comfortable working with hand and power tools and have a knowledge of safety protocols.
Essential Job Functions:
• Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies bonding components.
• Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
• Conducts quality control checks.
• Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality documents.
Schedule:
• 4 days a week, 10 hours a day. Ability to work after hours during the week and weekends, as the workload requires.

Required Qualifications:
• Good communication skills.
• Physical fitness and strength to lift and operate all equipment and component's ability to stand on feet for long hours.

• Ability to operate Heli-coil install tools, arbor press, installation of pins, rivets, complex inserts, nut-plates, bonding of material to substrate, lockwire experience etc.
• Ability to document and interpret technical documentation

• Physical stamina and strength, long standing, dexterity.
• Safety management mindset
• Focus on quality control.
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• CONUS travel may be required from time to time.
Working Conditions
This job is usually accomplished in an indoor workshop environment. Activities may include climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 lbs. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close and peripheral vision, and acceptable depth perception. Noise levels range from quiet to extremely loud.
