Job description

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Pads Transformer Assembler - 2nd Shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facilty! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour, plus a $1.35 shift differential per hour.

What you'll do:
The Pads Transformer Assemblerassembles operations for electricity transformers in accordance with established standard methods and procedures.
In this function, you will:
• Perform tasks across various work centers, including tank breakdown, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, palletizing, final assembly, and testing.
• Attach and install component parts and sub-assemblies onto transformer tanks (e.g., leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands).
• Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system.
• Place and anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks.
• Execute repetitive hand assembly, fitting, and adjustment operations.
• Use small power hand tools as required.
• Assist welders with the installation of hoods and seals.
• Address any nonconforming parts or products through rework.
• Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
• Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.
• Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Nacogdoches, TX facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Ability to operate industrial equipment and hand tools.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without accommodations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in hot environments and tolerate loud noises
