Workers in core assembly build sand or ceramic cores and molds that shape the internal cavities of metal parts during casting. The job requires attention to detail, precision, and knowledge of safety procedures to ensure quality and consistency in the final products. Core assembly is essential in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and machinery manufacturing. Technicians often use hand tools, machines, and specialized adhesives or coatings as part of the assembly process.
