Job description

This is an intern-level leadership position. The Content Operations Intern Lead coordinates and supervises a team of content interns performing CMS standardization, content audit and migration, defect validation, reporting, and training-documentation work. The Lead is responsible both for doing this work and for making sure the intern team completes it accurately and on schedule. 

The Lead reports to the program owner and serves as the day-to-day point of contact for the intern team.

Must-Have Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in school or within one year of your graduation date. 

  • Willingness and ability to direct the work of other interns. 

  • Strong attention to detail. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Comfort with structured, repeatable content work. 

  • Ability to commit reliable, consistent time. 

  • Basic technical aptitude and ability to follow defined processes and workflows. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and cloud authoring systems. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Prior experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating a small team. 

  • Prior CMS experience. 

  • Degree in English, Technical Writing, Instructional Design, or a related field. 

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher. 

  • Technical writing or instructional design experience. 

  • Creative copywriting and content-editing abilities. 

Leadership Responsibilities 

  • Assign, schedule, and track work across the intern team. 

  • Onboard interns and train them on CMS modules, workflows, and quality standards. 

  • Review completed work for accuracy and consistency before it is published or handed off. 

  • Run regular check-ins, unblock issues, and escalate risks to the program owner. 

  • Maintain the team's reporting, distribution lists, and user access. 

  • Serve as the liaison between the intern team and product managers, engineers, and editors. 

Content Operations Responsibilities 

The Lead performs and oversees the following work, which is shared with the intern team: 

  • Content standardization using CMS modules such as Header Blocks and Rich Text. 

  • Content audit and migration tracking. 

  • Defect validation, including reproducing issues and verifying fixes. 

  • Reporting and user management, including distribution lists. 

  • Training and documentation updates, including knowledge-base articles, help content, and video assets. 

  • Submitting content for translation.
