Key responsibilities

  • Own copy and narrative development for brand campaigns, social content, launches, and thought leadership.

  • Lead concept development and translate insights into compelling brand stories across formats and platforms.

  • Use AI tools for ideation, drafting, and experimentation, and refine AI-supported copy workflows.

Job description

IndieFolio is rethinking the traditional creative agency model by enabling brands to build flexible, high-performing creative teams on demand. We work with some of the biggest brands in India across design, video, and content—powered by a curated talent network and smart systems.

As content scales rapidly and AI reshapes how creative work is produced, clarity of thinking, strong taste, and storytelling ability matter more than ever. We’re looking for a Copywriter who can operate at this intersection—bringing strategy, creativity, and modern tools together to create work that actually resonates.

About the Role

As a Copywriter at IndieFolio, you’ll own copy and narrative development across brand campaigns, social content, launches, and thought leadership. This is not a pure execution role—it’s for someone who thinks conceptually, understands audiences deeply, and has the judgment to know what works and what doesn’t.

You’ll work closely with designers, strategists, video teams, AI-native creators, and clients—shaping ideas from insight to execution while maintaining a high creative bar.

This role is ideal for someone who wants ownership, variety, and the chance to build modern creative systems rather than just write lines.

Key Responsibilities Concept Development & Brand Storytelling
  • Lead copy and idea development for brand campaigns, content series, social narratives, and launches.
  • Translate insights into clear, compelling brand stories across formats and platforms.
  • Ensure consistency of tone, voice, and messaging across all touchpoints.
Audience & Insight Building
  • Understand categories, customers, cultures, and communities relevant to each brand.
  • Turn human truths into brand‑relevant insights that inform creative direction.
  • Work closely with strategy and design teams to shape narratives early in the process.
AI‑Enabled Creative Execution
  • Use AI tools for ideation, drafting, experimentation, and rapid prototyping.
  • Treat AI as a creative multiplier—not a replacement for thinking or taste.
  • Help refine and evolve AI‑supported copy workflows within the team.
Creative Quality & Taste
  • Review, refine, and elevate copy outputs to ensure clarity, relevance, and quality.
  • Maintain a strong creative bar across all written work.
  • Push back when something doesn’t work—and explain why.
  • Collaborate with IndieFolio’s internal team and external creative specialists.
  • Participate in client conversations, presentations, and feedback loops.
  • Adapt narratives based on client needs without diluting creative intent.
IndieFolio Brand Building
  • Craft LinkedIn content that showcases client work, ideas, and thought leadership.
  • Shape Instagram storytelling around IndieFolio’s creative community and talent network.
  • Contribute to how IndieFolio communicates its voice and values publicly.
Requirements
  • 3–6 years of experience in copywriting, content, or brand storytelling.
  • Experience working with brands, agencies, or creative studios.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and ability to write across formats (brand, social, campaign).
  • Clear editorial judgment and a strong sense of taste.
  • Comfort working with AI tools and experimenting with new creative workflows.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • High ownership mindset—you take responsibility for ideas end‑to‑end.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and comfort working in fast‑moving environments.
