We're looking for a part-time SEO Copywriter Intern who is eager to learn more about SEO with one of the largest early childhood education companies in the country. This role will work directly with over 350 schools to update their location pages and support the Website Marketing Manager with updates on the cadence-edcuation.com website.

This role requires coming into our Scottsdale office 1-2 times a month.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality written website content that employs SEO best practices to reach and engage prospective families, which may include working with School Directors to capture what is special about each school, verify programs, extracurriculars, etc.
  • Optimize images by updating file names, alt text, and compressing to reduce file size.
  • Learn the basics of On-Page SEO and GEO by performing keyword research, updating metadata, and making content recommendations based on findings.
  • Learn how to analyze website/local SEO performance reporting and transform that knowledge into optimizations that strengthen digital presence.

Build foundational marketing analytics knowledge through working with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SOCi, and AhRefs

Qualifications:

  • Can write short, medium and long-form copy without the assistance of LLMs; can write with customer and business perspectives in mind
  • Self-starter; willing to research and find resources independently to learn how to accomplish tasks as well as willingness to learn new skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with others both within and outside of the marketing department
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, along with a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks in a reasonable timeframe
  • Ability to work on-site in our Scottsdale office 1-2 times per month, with possibility this will increase with project progression.
  • Familiarity with SEO, websites, and associated platforms, such as AhRefs, Wordpress, WPEngine, Screaming Frog, etc. is a plus

Applicants who are interested in the role but do not have experience in SEO or have worked with websites are still encouraged to apply. Relevant school projects will be accepted as experience.
