Job description

Our team is redefining the industry – and creating a culture of excellence.

Founded in 2011, Atlantic Coast Mortgage embodies a people‑first culture rooted in commitment, character, and innovation. What began as a small team has grown into a thriving organization where our people remain the driving force behind our mission to redefine the mortgage industry. We believe individuals do their best work in an environment designed for success—and we’re proud to be recognized by The Washington Post as a Top Workplace. As we continue to grow, we’re not just hiring employees—we’re looking for driven, energetic, and creative problem‑solvers. If that sounds like you, and you’re ready to build your career with a company committed to making meaningful change in our industry, we’d love to connect.

Atlantic Coast Mortgage, LLC (“ACM”) is looking for an experienced Content Developer & Copywriter to help strengthen and scale our brand through strategic storytelling, high‑impact content marketing, and sales copywriting. The ideal candidate will have a vision to build a growing brand through creative storytelling and strategic content marketing. They will have experience managing the content creation process end‑to‑end, from brainstorming and research to writing, editing, and publishing across multiple channels.

If you are a naturally curious self‑starter with an eye for spotting engaging story angles, new content trends, and are adept at switching between the roles of writer, editor, and content strategist, ensuring each piece of content is polished and effective for the corresponding platforms/channels, this could be the role for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a content strategy and editorial calendar that supports marketing campaigns and business objectives.
  • Write and edit engaging content for multiple platforms – including blog posts, email newsletters, social media updates, video scripts, and marketing collateral (digital and print). Ensure all copy maintains a consistent brand voice, tone, and style.
  • Conduct discovery calls, interviews, and research to gather information for content. Collaborate with internal teams to identify storytelling opportunities and ensure accuracy of information.
  • Optimize content for each platform and audience. Apply SEO best practices to web content (blogs/website) to improve search rankings, and tailor messaging/formatting for social media, email, and print to maximize engagement.
  • Manage multiple content projects simultaneously from concept through completion. Maintain an organized content calendar, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of all content pieces in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Work closely with designers, videographers, and marketing colleagues to develop cohesive campaigns. Ensure that visuals, videos, and other media elements complement and enhance the written content.
  • Maintain and reinforce our brand’s voice, tone, and messaging consistency across all content. Ensure all materials meet company guidelines and any industry regulatory standards applicable to marketing communications.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of professional experience in copywriting, content development, or content marketing. Strong writing portfolio demonstrating a range of content types and styles.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Ability to craft clear, compelling narratives and adapt tone for different channels and audiences.
  • Solid understanding of SEO best practices and how to optimize content for web search (keywords, metadata) as well as for social media algorithms and email deliverability.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) for publishing (e.g. WordPress) and CRM/email marketing platforms.
  • Skilled in using Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) as a thought partner to accelerate ideation, enhance content quality, and streamline development through effective prompt and context engineering.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Comfortable conducting interviews and interacting with team members at all levels. Able to build positive working relationships and communicate ideas effectively.

Portfolio/Writing Samples: A link to an online portfolio or a PDF with 3-5 writing samples must be included. Ideally, showcase a variety of formats (e.g. blog post, email blast, social media copy, long‑form article) that demonstrate your range and impact.

NOTE: A portfolio of writing samples or links to published work is required with your application. Applications without a portfolio or writing samples will not be considered. We’d love to see examples of your content that you’re most proud of.
