PSEG is seeking summer interns with the Cyber Security Risk & Compliance (CSRC) team. We are responsible for the tools, procedures, end user awareness and training for securing PSEG against cyber threats, malware and cyber-attacks from any and all possible sources. We own the early detection tools and techniques to alert on possible attacks and will launch incident response procedures and/or forensic discovery to respond to and mitigate the attack. We are also responsible to ensure the different lines of business are meeting our regulatory and compliance goals.
Job Responsibilities
Assignments for the the CSRC Summer Intern may include but are not limited to:
Email Security and reporting
OT Security
Incident Response
Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
Cyber Security End User Training
Phishing Training Campaigns
Password Vaulting and Compliance
Single Sign On / SAML Application Integration
Job Specific Qualifications
  • The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree majoring in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, or similar related major from an accredited institution. Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration. Candidates must have excellent oral and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education, which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
    Preferred Qualifications: 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period for the full 10-12 week period. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students for the duration of the internship. Housing, transportation, Immigration Support will not be provided with this position.
