Sign Installer & Large Format Production Specialist

About Us

AlphaGraphics Chandler | Gilbert | Scottsdale is a locally owned leader in printing, signage, and visual communications. We help businesses and organizations bring their ideas to life through high-quality print, signage, marketing, and branded solutions.

Our team is fast-paced, collaborative, and customer-focused. We take pride in quality craftsmanship, solving problems, and delivering great work for our clients. If you enjoy hands-on work, variety, and seeing a project go from production through final installation, we’d love to meet you.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sign Installer & Large Format Production Specialist to join our Chandler-based production team.

This is a hands-on role focused on the installation of signs, graphics, and visual communication projects at customer locations throughout the Phoenix area. The position also works closely with our in-house production team to prepare, finish, and produce signage and large-format graphics.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in clean, professional installations, pays close attention to detail, is comfortable solving problems in the field, and can represent AlphaGraphics professionally while working at customer sites.

When not performing installations, this role will assist with sign and large-format production, finishing, and project preparation.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Installation schedules may occasionally require adjusted start or end times based on customer or project needs.

Key Responsibilities

•  Install a variety of interior and exterior signs, graphics, and visual communication products at customer locations.

•  Install wall and window graphics, vinyl lettering and graphics, dimensional lettering, acrylic and rigid signage, banners, decals, and other custom signage products.

•  Perform site surveys, take accurate field measurements, identify installation requirements, and help anticipate potential installation challenges.

•  Prepare installation surfaces and materials and determine appropriate installation methods.

•  Safely use ladders, lifts, hand tools, and power tools as required for installations.

•  Troubleshoot and solve installation challenges in the field while maintaining quality and professionalism.

•  Communicate effectively with customers and teammates before, during, and after installations.

•  Load, transport, organize, and protect signs, graphics, tools, and materials for installation.

•  Assist with sign and large-format production, including printing, laminating, mounting, trimming, cutting, weeding, masking, applying vinyl, and other finishing processes.

•  Operate and assist with large-format production and finishing equipment as needed.

•  Review project specifications and completed work for accuracy and quality before installation or delivery.

•  Maintain an organized, safe, and professional work environment both in production and at customer locations.

•  Work collaboratively with production, design, customer service, and sales team members to keep projects moving and meet customer deadlines.

Qualifications

•  Previous professional experience installing signs, vinyl graphics, large-format graphics, or similar products.

•  Strong understanding of installation techniques, accurate measuring, surface preparation, and general sign construction.

•  Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

•  Comfortable working on ladders and lifts as required.

•  Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

•  Ability to safely lift and maneuver materials weighing approximately 50 pounds.

•  Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors at customer locations.

•  Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

•  Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

•  Dependable, organized, and able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

•  Comfortable working independently in the field while also contributing as part of a production team.

•  Professional communication skills and the ability to represent AlphaGraphics positively at customer locations.

•  Basic computer skills and willingness to learn our production and order-management systems.

Preferred, but not required

•  Experience with large-format printers, laminators, plotters, routers, or cutting equipment.

•  Experience with wall murals and architectural graphics.

•  Experience installing dimensional letters, stand-off signage, or other mechanically mounted signs.

•  Vehicle graphics installation experience.

•  Full vehicle wrap experience or industry installation certifications such as 3M, Avery Dennison, or similar.

Benefits

•  Competitive compensation depending on experience.

•  Health, dental, and vision insurance.

•  Paid time off and holidays.

•  401(k) with company match.

•  Opportunities for growth and advancement.

•  Training and development opportunities.

•  Supportive and collaborative team environment.

•  Variety of work with projects that change from day to day.

How to Apply

If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and have experience installing signs or graphics, we’d like to hear from you.

Please submit your resume along with a brief introduction describing your installation and/or sign production experience.
