Position Summary

The Logistics Fumigation Lead is responsible for overseeing fumigation operations, inventory control, logistics coordination, container inspections, warehouse activities, and product flow throughout the manufacturing facility. This position ensures compliance with food safety regulations, fumigation requirements, export requirements, inventory tracking procedures, and company safety standards. The Logistics Fumigation Lead coordinates fumigation scheduling, maintains documentation, supports warehouse operations, and ensures the safe and efficient movement of products while maintaining compliance with GMP, HACCP, food defense, allergen control, hygienic zoning, and company safety programs.

Essential Functions

• Perform container pre-inspections to verify equipment is safe and operational.
• Prepare daily container condition reports and identify repair requirements.
• Coordinate fumigation schedules with third-party fumigation providers.
• Verify proper fumigants are utilized based on destination country requirements.
• Oversee silo and export fumigation operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maximize dock door utilization and loading opportunities while providing operational direction to employees.
• Maintain efficient product flow through fumigation and warehouse operations.
• Assist with order discrepancies, inventory issues, product holds, and sample processing.
• Communicate proactively with warehouse personnel and other departments regarding operational concerns and process improvements.
• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce all safety requirements.
• Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to transport raw materials and finished goods.
• Complete and maintain inventory, quality, maintenance, and operational documentation.
• Utilize scanning equipment and inventory systems to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
• Maintain work areas in a clean, organized, and GMP-compliant condition.
• Follow all company GMP, HACCP, food safety, allergen control, food defense, and safety procedures.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of silo and export fumigation experience required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
• Previous warehouse, logistics, inventory control, export, or manufacturing experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of fumigation practices and export requirements.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, and material handling.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety, allergen control, and food defense programs.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and internet software.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and inventory transactions.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds throughout an 8–12-hour shift.
• Ability to work in varying temperature environments, including hot and cold conditions.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete documentation accurately.

Work Environment

• Food manufacturing and pistachio processing facility.
• Warehouse, silo, loading dock, export, and logistics environments.
• Exposure to heat, cold, noise, heights, chemicals, fumigation materials, and industrial hazards.
• Frequent interaction with forklifts, trucks, containers, dock equipment, and material handling systems.
• Indoor and outdoor work may be required.
• Must comply with all safety, food safety, and PPE requirements.
