The Role Itself
Ethan Crossing Indianapolis is currently seeking experienced intake coordinators to work in a residential treatment center for Substance Use Disorders (SUD), providing care and treatment to clients. Previous experience working with SUD patients is strongly preferred.
Duties may include:
  • Coordinating high volume of inquiries, scheduling, follow-up, tracking, assessment, and admissions.
  • Conducting interviews and assess for appropriate levels of care.
  • Updating bed boards, assessment boards, and other information stations.
  • Verifying insurance.

Prerequisites for this position:
  • Positive Attitude!
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Teamwork, flexibility needed to fulfill job responsibilities, adapting to changes in work environment and accepting supervisory feedback.
  • Professional, courteous, and respectful interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and other staff.
  • Self-directed and highly motivated.
  • Customer Service Attitude and ability to communicate effectively.
  • BS/BA in a Behavioral Health field
  • Basic computer literacy, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred experience or credentials:
  • Experience with use of a multi-line phone system.
  • Experience in SUD assessment and/or treatment.
  • At least one (1) year of previous experience in a residential treatment center for substance use disorders.
