Overview

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas. This position plays a critical role in supporting kitchen operations by ensuring that all food service equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and available for use. The Dishwasher also assists with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.

This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00.

This position will remain open until December 11, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen work areas, dish rooms, and storage areas.
  • Remove trash, recyclables, and waste materials from kitchen and food service areas.
  • Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, floors, walls, mats, and food preparation surfaces.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Organize and stock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies in designated storage areas.
  • Support kitchen staff by maintaining an adequate supply of clean service ware during peak periods.
  • Monitor dishwashing chemicals and notify management when supplies need replenishment.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
  • Support opening, closing, and event-related cleaning responsibilities.
  • Perform other kitchen support duties as assigned by management.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
  • Previous dishwashing, janitorial, kitchen, restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience is preferred. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and reliable.
  • Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred.
  • Food Handler Certification (where required by local regulations).
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, catering operations, stadiums, arenas, convention centers, or other hospitality venues is a plus.
  • Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment and cleaning chemicals is a plus.
