Summary:

The Cook Children's Heart Center is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and collaborative General Pediatric Cardiologist to join our growing and nationally recognized pediatric cardiovascular program in Fort Worth, Texas.
Qualified candidates must have completed an accredited Pediatric Cardiology fellowship and be board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Cardiology. Applicants must also be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric cardiology and demonstrate a strong commitment to exceptional patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.
The Cook Children's Heart Center offers a comprehensive and highly collaborative cardiovascular program with a strong culture of innovation and clinical integration. Our physician team includes:
2 Adult Congenital Cardiologists
3 Invasive/Interventional Pediatric Cardiologists
3 Pediatric Electrophysiologists
1 Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist
7 Advanced Noninvasive Imaging Cardiologists
4 General Pediatric Cardiologists

3 Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeons

8 Advanced Practice Providers
In addition to a robust general cardiology practice, our program offers advanced expertise in fetal echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac MRI, and advanced 3D visualization and modeling supported by a fully integrated in-house 3D imaging and printing laboratory.
Our integrated Heart Center includes:
2 dedicated cardiac catheterization laboratories
2 cardiovascular operating rooms
14-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU)
14-bed dedicated cardiac step-down unit

Dedicated Cardiac MRI magnet

Fully digital echocardiography laboratory with seamless integration across all outreach clinic locations, allowing real-time image review and collaborative interpretation

Our cardiovascular surgical team performs approximately 450-500 congenital cardiac surgeries annually, while our catheterization laboratories perform more than 600-650 interventional and diagnostic procedures each year.
Cook Children's is currently undergoing a major cardiovascular expansion that will add:
1 additional cardiac catheterization laboratory
2 new cardiovascular operating suites
Expanded echocardiography facilities

New 28-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU)
New 28-bed inpatient cardiovascular care space
These investments reflect the institution's long-term commitment to growth, innovation, and excellence in pediatric cardiovascular care.
Clinical research and academic development are strongly encouraged and supported through the Cook Children's research infrastructure, including IRB support, grant development resources, and multidisciplinary collaboration opportunities. Participation in research is welcomed but not required.
