PURPOSE AND MISSION

Engage Builder before quoting plan to understand their needs and where they are in the sales process. A conversion rate of more than 40% of quotes to orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consult and assist the Builder with estimate and firm price pricing.
  • Guide Builders on required materials needed from builder specifications and plan designs and verifies continuity.
  • Communicate project details to the Builders, Materials, Structure Design and Plant operations.
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements, setting priorities.
  • Prepare construction budget by studying home plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each elevation.
  • Evaluate offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
  • Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
  • Maintain continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices by attending relevant workshops, reading trade publications, and building relationships within professional networks and associations. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Collects and analyzes data by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and other related documents.
  • Build and maintain healthy and long-term relationships with Builders.
  • Participate in project meetings, reviewing schedules, and preparing reports.
  • Prepare cost estimates at various stages of design from schematic and budget to detailed take-off and pricing.
  • Turn around quotes in a timely manner to support Builder’s sales process and minimize delays in project progression.
  • Occasional travel may be required to visit and meet with Builders to strengthen working relationships and better understand project needs.
  • All other duties as assigned
    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation, collaboration, and negotiations to work directly with business and IT teams to establish consensus, manage conflict, shape technology strategy and drive change.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand building material usages and construction practices.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft office programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Construction Management degree or 2+ years working experience in sales and building design/structuring capacity
  • Experience with estimating programs
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite
  • Architectural Drafting experience a plus
