JOB SUMMARYAt Nueske’s, we are passionate about delivering quality products and creating meaningful connections with our customers. We are seeking a Retention Marketing Specialist to develop, execute, and optimize email and SMS marketing strategies that drive engagement, customer retention, and revenue. Efforts will be highly concentrated on increasing customer lifetime value and repeat purchases.This role will manage campaign calendars, build automated customer journeys, segment audiences, analyze performance, drive new and repeat purchases, and ensure brand consistency across all email and SMS communications. This role reports to the Director of Marketing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and manage the email and SMS marketing calendar aligned with promotions, seasonal campaigns, and product launches.
  • Create, write, build, and deploy email and SMS campaigns using email and CRM platform.
  • Write compelling subject lines, preview text, and calls-to-action that drive engagement.
  • Create digital assets aligned with content.
  • Perform quality assurance to ensure accuracy, functionality, and mobile optimization.

Automation & Lifecycle Marketing

  • Build and optimize automated email and SMS flows, including welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back, and re-engagement campaigns.
  • Implement audience segmentation strategies based on customer behavior, purchase history, and engagement.
  • Personalize messaging to enhance relevance and conversion.
  • Continuously test and refine lifecycle journeys to improve performance.

Performance Analysis & Optimization

  • Monitor key performance indicators such as open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, revenue per send, and unsubscribe rate.
  • Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, creative, send times, and segmentation strategies.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports with actionable insights.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the email list and increase engagement.
  • Assist with forecasting and budget planning.

List Management & Compliance

  • Maintain list hygiene and ensure accuracy of customer data.
  • Manage opt-ins, suppressions, and preference centers.
  • Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other applicable regulations.
  • Monitor deliverability and sender reputation.

Cross-Channel Collaboration

  • Align email campaigns with paid media, social, ecommerce, and content marketing efforts.
  • Support product launches, promotions, and brand storytelling initiatives.
  • Collaborate with greater marketing team to optimize email- and SMS-driven revenue.
