Job Title:         Supply Management Specialist II
Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration:         12 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Location:         Dubuque, IA 52001
Shift:                1st Shift, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (Overtime may be required)

Description:

Major Purpose
• Support and lead Strategic Sourcing activities and develop sourcing strategies.
• Build and manage the supplier base for materials, products, supplies, and services.
• Manage supplier quality, delivery, performance, and material replenishment.
• Address chronic supplier performance issues and support supplier validation and selection.
• Facilitate quality planning activities with suppliers.

Major Duties
• Execute supply chain planning activities within established processes.
• Perform supplier management activities and support sourcing initiatives.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain and supplier data.
• Coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes.
• Implement and monitor corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify process improvements and recommend solutions.
• Resolve complex issues with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Create and maintain Microsoft Excel, databases, reports, and other business documents.

• Lead SCI projects supporting manufacturing operations in Dubuque.

Education
• Short-Cycle Tertiary Education required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Management, Engineering/Technology, or a related field preferred.

Top Must-Haves
• Supply management and product development experience.
• Conflict resolution and commercial negotiation experience.
• Cross-functional experience with engineering, quality, manufacturing, material flow, or related functions.
• Experience working with global, multicultural teams.
• Ability to work 1st shift with occasional evening calls to support global teams and suppliers.
