Job description

Stellantis produces some of the most recognizable vehicles in the world, and whether you are just starting your career or ready to take your career to the next level, being a Plant Supplier Quality Engineer/Convergence Leader at Stellantis offers real world challenges and rewarding opportunities. Convergence Leaders are exposed to parts and processes throughout the vehicle assembly. As a Convergence Leader, you will utilize your skills to bring together a cross functional team of Stellantis and supplier personnel to identify Program readiness opportunities for new/future programs and problem resolution opportunities for day to day assembly operations.
The Supplier Quality Engineer/Convergence Leader's job responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Work cross functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to ensure incoming part quality from the supply base is fluid
  • Drive change within both Plant Manufacturing and Component Suppliers to resolve component related issues
  • Ensure component supplier processes are robust and capable while enforcing clean points and permanent corrective actions
  • Support warranty reduction initiatives through Obeya and Supplier Obeya initiatives
  • Develop and present status updates and articulate open issues to senior leadership
  • Drive supplier commitment and challenge action plans associated to quality for supplier manufacturing related issues
  • Drive containment, root cause, and permanent corrective actions for Supplier Quality Pilot issues identified during a launching program

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science or master's degree in engineering from an accredited university
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Proficient in data analysis and data management using Microsoft Office Suite Software
  • Strong interest in automotive industry.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Previous Internship/Co-Op experience and/or previous manufacturing, design, or engineering work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Creative problem-solving ability and a results orientation
  • Comfortable with complex technical analysis
  • Respected team leader or team member
  • Ability to travel within the NA region
