What you will do

As an HVAC Electrical Controls Installer under specific supervision, performs routine installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings and personal analysis. Works with "Prime" electrical contractors as required. Develops a positive interface with the customer to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the system installation.

How you will do it

  • Installs raceways, conduit, cables and wiring to meet local or national codes, standards and customer system requirements.

  • Mounts, terminate and tag controls equipment as needed.

  • Assists sales with electrical estimates, including walking retrofit projects.

  • Post installation check out wiring and terminations with test instruments as needed.

  • Keeps management informed of job needs, progress and issues.

  • Completes administrative duties, including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation/redlines.Provides feedback to JCI LSS/PM on changes and keeps redlines/as-built drawings current.

  • Resolves job site conflicts regarding installation issues or escalates concerns to management as required.

  • Communicates with the customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.

  • Adheres to Johnson Controls safety programs and policies.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What we look for in an HVAC Electrical Controls Installer

Required

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret drawings.

  • Preference will be given to 1st- and 2nd-Year Electrical Apprentices; however, qualified Certified/Journeyperson Electricians are also encouraged to apply. Compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, and apprenticeship level, with the hourly rate adjusted accordingly.

  • Possesses working knowledge of local codes as they apply to controls.

  • Experienced in scope determination of installation materials.

  • Able to work independently.

  • Willing to work occasional overnight and out-of-town projects as needed to meet business requirements and client expectations.

Preferred

  • Experience with HVAC control installations.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $28-$40 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
