ProSidian Seeks a Project Controls Engineer - Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) - GSSC [Full-Time [W-2] Senior Consultant] located: The Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area to Provide services and support as a Project Controls Engineer - Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) (PR0171) at The Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area.ย 

JOB OVERVIEW

Provides Project Controls Engineering for The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Perform support functions to Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) and WTP Federal Project Directors by providing quality related oversight functions, perform as an oversight team member lead, develop self-assessment plans, participate in performance of self-assessments, and document results.
  • Perform oversight of contractor efforts to address findings, including monitoring and reporting on any improvements in contractor's Assurance Program, extent ofย ย ย ย ย ย ย  condition reviews, and issue resolution efforts.
  • Provide WTP Performance Assurance support to the Assistant Manager WTP (AMWTP), Deputy AMWTP, and to Division Directors.
  • Review and comment on new and revised Office of River Protection (ORP) Performance Assurances procedures and WTP oversight reports.
  • Support the WTP Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager.
  • Provide auditing and training support.

SCOPE DELIVERABLES

  • Field oversight of assigned scope to ensure contractors properly implement contractual requirements, providing a safe work environment, and demonstrating conformance with overall DOE safety performance standards and principles.
  • Operational Awareness and Surveillance reports for assigned scope documented in the DOE iCAS database detailing oversight activities including document reviews, field observations, and personnel interviews.

Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. Project Controls Engineer shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. Project Controls Engineer employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress

The Project Controls Engineer - Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Project Controls Engineer shall possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Education - BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management. Six (6) years of experience may be substituted for BS/BA degree.
  • Experience - Six (6) years of directly applicable successful experience as a management consultant or senior manager interfacing and working with organizational executives and senior management, or senior technical or business individuals, within government or industry on significant management, technical, or business issues.
  • Demonstrate familiarity and relevant experience or ability to gain understanding and provide oversight of commissioning plan development
  • Demonstrate familiarity and relevant experience or ability to obtain and maintain proficiencies in DOE-ORP specific required training.
  • Demonstrate familiarity and relevant experience or ability to be successful as facility operations, maintenance management of a nuclear facility, related training and certifications.
  • Experienced writing assessment reports.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and/or other Office tools.
  • Demonstrate familiarity and relevant experience and ability to perform oversight of commissioning plan development.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate familiarity and relevant experience or ability to perform under Hanford or other government agency procedures.
  • Demonstrate familiarity and relevant experience or ability to perform under Hanford or other government agency procedures of environmental compliance.
  • Compliance with site specific safety and security requirements, including badging and office protocols.
  • Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.
