CONTROLS DESIGN ENGINEER
DMG, subsidiary of AMbient Enterprises: We are a recognized industry leader in providing custom HVAC products and services for the commercial, industrial, healthcare/life sciences and residential building markets. We offer product expertise, technical and application support, system design and operational support thereby meeting our clients' specific needs and requirements. As part of the Ambient Enterprises family of brands, the DMG team consists of experienced industry-leading professionals, focused on logistical, energy and cost-effective solutions to our clients.
Our Service and Controls division (DMG SC) is focused on providing high quality, local support for the products DMG represents. Our Controls Team works with customers to optimize equipment with customized, user-friendly solutions. We currently have an opportunity for a Controls Design Engineer in the DMG SC Division. Some travel may be required to jobsites located throughout DMG's territory.
This is a hybrid role, based out of our Orange, CA office.
Primary Duties
  • Technical execution lead in implementation of building automation and energy management solutions across various vertical markets
  • Responsible for engineering designs based on plans and specifications, maintaining RFIs, and driving design acceptance
  • Develop submittals consisting of network architecture, mechanical system layouts, control wiring schematics, BAS panel layouts, bills of materials, sequences of operations, and required mechanical schedules to meet the intent of project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Take-off engineered plans during preconstruction efforts to estimate controls design for RFP requests.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • Ability to read/interpret electrical circuit diagrams

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experienced in the following areas of Building Automation Systems: Engineering (3+ years minimum experience)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Visio and AutoCAD preferred)

Compensation:
$80-$105k DOE
