We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Civil Engineering design professional to join our dynamic team as a Civil Engineer Project Manager in our Hillsborough, NJ office. The ideal candidate should possess progressive experience in the design of private subdivision and land development projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership:

  • Holds technical design knowledge and responsibility for proficient designs in various areas of site planning, engineering, and landscape architecture, inclusive of site evaluation, sketch and yield plan preparation, site layout, horizontal and vertical alignment for roads, grading, general stormwater management/BMP siting, landscaping, permitting, and preparation of drawings and reports.
  • Perform site feasibility, due diligence, zoning, and regulatory research for land development.
  • Provide a creative design approach to difficult projects and readily conceptualize solutions.
  • Work closely with a team of Engineers, Designers and CADD Technicians assigned to projects.
  • Monitor daily progress of projects through full project life cycle to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Ensure preparation of and review all detailed engineering sketches, drawings, specifications, plans, reports, and technical documentation to support project deliverables, reviews, and client communication.

Client Support: Ensures client satisfaction and return business through delivery of high-quality design services within established timelines and budgets.

Leadership & Team Development: Mentor, support and develop junior engineers. Provide technical skill development along with professional growth opportunities.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering along with NJ PE required (CME, CFM, and/or PP a plus)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience servicing private clients and/or managing infrastructure projects or designing land development projects;
  • Experience working in site development strongly preferred;
  • Ability to collaborate with and manage others;
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D required; GIS experience a plus;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Must have good written/verbal communication and people skills to facilitate frequent public communication;
  • Experience in public testimony before Land Use Boards a plus

Compensation:


$104,000 - $165,000 annually commensurate with experience.
