POSITION SUMMARY

Process Controls professional supporting control systems, automation technologies, and operational processes to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. Contributes to troubleshooting, project execution, and continuous improvement while building technical expertise within established standards and practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops skills to program, support, and troubleshoot control logic, human machine interface (HMI) displays and supporting technology (networks, remote communications/protocols and metering) to meet operational, economic, and regulatory objectives.
Understands cause and effects (C&E) and controls narrative documentation and utilizes this documentation to assist with factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).
Troubleshoots basic alarms with other operational teams and assists in their resolution.
Understands local operational processes and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and assists troubleshooting issues.
Performs maintenance Controls projects and day-to-day support; receives direction from others and seeks out mentoring contacts throughout the organization.
Understands MPLX standards/guidelines as well as industry standards/guidelines.
Understands core concepts and participates in safety-related processes and programs such as process hazards analysis (PHA) and management of change (MOC).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree or vocational qualifications in related field required. This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
Seven (7) years of related experience required.

Valid Driver's License required.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
