M.C. Dean is seeking summer interns to support its Marketing & Communications department. These paid positions offer experience at a large engineering and technology company based in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
The marketing and communications team is enhancing the company's brand and digital presence to support marketing, communications, and branding programs. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates to gain cross-disciplinary experience, including strategic marketing and market intelligence, branding, web development, social media, internal communications and corporate social responsibility within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities

  • Researching, writing, editing, and coordinating content for the firm's website, intranet, social media sites, and marketing materials
  • Assisting with promotions, events, client meetings, and special projects
  • Supporting website maintenance by preparing and uploading new content, and monitoring SEO effectiveness
  • Supporting corporate and sub brand refresh efforts, including research, documentation, template updates, and training materials.
  • Collaborating with leadership, technical, and marketing communications team members in the preparation of content and/or graphics for digital or print-based materials
  • Providing research, tracking, and analytics support for integrated marketing campaigns
  • Supporting market intelligence, competitive analysis and market segmentation research and reporting efforts

Qualifications
Required Skills / Qualifications
  • Previous experience, internship, or coursework in marketing or related field
  • Excellent written communications skills
  • An eagerness to learn fast, work hard, and produce quality work
  • The ability to operate successfully both on independent assignments and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines
  • A willingness to handle routine, repetitive tasks

  • Preference will be given to graduate students, undergraduate seniors, or recent graduates

Education / Experience
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related degree field
  • Completion of advanced coursework in writing, research, campaign development, and marketing analytics strongly preferred
