4th or 5th Year Service Electrician Apprentice

Position Summary: 

Schwickert's Tecta America is looking for a motivated 4th or 5th Year Electrical Apprentice to join our growing Commercial & Industrial Electrical Service Department.

If you're looking to move beyond primarily construction work and develop into a highly skilled service electrician, this is an excellent opportunity. You'll work alongside experienced service journeymen troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical systems for commercial and industrial customers throughout southern Minnesota.

This position is designed for an apprentice who wants to continue learning while preparing for a successful career as a licensed service electrician.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist and work alongside experienced service electricians
  • Troubleshoot commercial and industrial electrical systems
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and service upgrades
  • Install panels, disconnects, lighting, controls, motors, and related electrical equipment
  • Complete preventive maintenance and electrical inspections
  • Communicate professionally with customers and provide outstanding service
  • Complete service documentation accurately and safely

Qualifications: 

  • Currently registered as a 4th or 5th Year Minnesota Electrical Apprentice
  • Strong troubleshooting aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred
  • Excellent work ethic and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently while continuing to develop technical skills
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record

Starting pay ranges from $33-38 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
 $1,000 Sign-On bonus available for qualified candidates!
