Job description

Application and Marketing Engineer – Industrial Packaged Systems
Position Summary:
Under general direction, provides technical sales and application engineering support for Evapco customers and sales representatives on Evapco’s Packaged System solutions. This includes Evapcold low charge ammonia packaged refrigeration systems and Evapco-LMP transcritical CO₂ packaged refrigeration systems. Responsibilities include application engineering, equipment selection, proposal and project development, specification review, technical presentations, customer support, order management, and project coordination. Supports successful project coordination with project team, from inquiry through startup and customer handoff.
Principal Duties:
  • Review customer inquiries, specifications, RFPs and develop technical and commercial proposals for Evapco’s Packaged System solutions (Evapcold low charge NH3 amp; Industrial LMP CO2 products) along with related system equipment of condensers, gas coolers, evaporators and controls systems.
  • Perform equipment selections, system evaluations, and component sizing for Evapco packaged refrigeration systems.
  • Provide technical support to customers, sales representatives, contractors, end-users and consulting engineers.
  • Coordinate custom equipment requirements and work with Product Development on non-standard designs and product improvements.
  • Enter and process orders, review project requirements, and support project execution activities.
  • Manage customer submittals, technical documentation, and fabrication release activities.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Product Development, Service, and Marketing departments to support successful project delivery.
  • Support Evapco project team on the installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty-related activities.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials, product documentation, technical databases, and training materials for Packaged Systems.
  • Participate in Packaged Systems standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel as needed to meet with customers and sales representatives to assist with the sale and execution of Packaged Systems projects, along with related travel to attend industry conferences and conventions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Refrigeration, HVACR, Process Cooling, or related fields. Experience with industrial refrigeration systems utilizing ammonia (NH₃) and/or transcritical CO₂ technologies preferred. Working knowledge of refrigeration principles, installed systems, equipment selection, and project coordination required. Strong communication and customer-facing skills along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and related engineering software tools. Travel requirements approximately 10–20%.
